2018, the year of change, or is that too dramatic? 2017 was the year I found myself falling in love with yoga. So what better way than to start the new year off than with a 2 hour yoga “rinse?”
The whole concept of the rinse was to forget all the bad and toxic moments, relationships, memories of 2017, and start over in 2018. Easy enough right? In simple terms, it was amazing. Being surrounded with 45+ other yogis, was nothing short of powerful. We were able to bounce energy, laughter, and poses off of one another. The room was hotter than any sauna I had ever been in before. Between my mind forgetting all my worries while going to different positions, and omitting toxins from my entire body through sweat, I had never felt anything like it.
I made sure I drank 1 gallon of water before I went into my rinse, because I knew that it would be extremely warm in the yoga studio. Once the class was over I made to sure to drink another 32oz of water, and have organic turkey chili.
I can go on, and on about the rinse and what I learned about myself, but to be honest I feel like you guys don’t want to read about my uber personal thought process. Aka I find myself overthinking often, yoga is the only time I find myself able to let go of everything and leave it on the mat.
